Hermanus is a popular weekend travel destination for many Capetonians.
Just over an hour’s drive from Cape Town, lies the seaside town of Hermanus. Located in the Overberg district, it has beautiful mountains decked with indigenous fynbos as well as the ocean, a modern town, a myriad of restaurants and spectacular accommodation to offer.
Not to mention it’s appeal for being one of South Africa’s best locations for whale watching (in season). Recently (well, maybe in the last 15 years), it also has its own wine route with some of South Africa’s best wines produced within a twenty minute drive from town.
A few nights in Hermanus will rejuvenate any tired soul and if you’re lucky to have sunny, windstil weather, you will not leave disappointed!
